On May 11 STARS joined the 38th and 41st District Republican Clubs and participated in a Back the Blue car caravan dropping off gifts, cookies and thank you notes to law enforcement officers up and down eastern Sussex in those 2 districts. Chairman, Ben Parsons, travelled in style and displayed our club car magnets to get the word out to more teens!
The caravan began meeting with the Millsboro Police Department, travelled north to meet with Delaware State Troop 4 and Probation and Parole Department in Georgetown. The caravan then headed south to meet with and drop off gifts to the Dagsboro and Frankford police departments. Following there the caravan headed east to meet with Fenwick Island and South Bethany police departments and completed their travels to meet with Bethany Beach and Ocean View police departments.
National Police Week and the Sussex 38th and 41st Republican Clubs with STARS Back the Blue Car Caravan is an annual event, so plan to join in the fun next year!!
